Q: Is Asia Zouk an organizer?
A: No. Asia Zouk is a directory of Zouk events in Asia.
Q: Who is behind this site?
A: Asia Zouk was created by Glenn Sloat, the founder of Flow Taipei and Taiwan Zouk Festival in Taiwan.
Q: What kind of events are listed?
A: Weekenders, festivals, marathons, retreats.
Q: What will not be listed?
A: The point is to help travelers and regional dancers have a quick way to figure out what is happening around Asia. So to avoid over-crowding the calendar, we won’t list local parties, classes, single day intensives, events that last more than a week, international residencies, etc.
Q: Will every event be listed here?
A: We’ll do our best to work to list all Zouk and Lambada events in Asia that can reasonably expected to attract dancers from outside of that country.
Q: Where in Asia can I find Brazilian Zouk classes and parties?
A: Check out local class/party organizers on the Local page.
Q: Is every teacher and school listed?
A: We will try to list all of the teachers/organizers/studios in Asia which actively offer regular classes and/or parties of reasonable quality in their local scene. If an organization has several teachers, we will only list the organization.
